I was born on Jun 23, 1980. I studied Chemistry at Quaid–i–Azam University (QAU) Islamabad and obtained Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degrees in 2002 and 2004, respectively.
In 2005, I joined Prof. Dickert's research group at University of Vienna, Austria. I received Doctor of the Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. Nat.) degree in Chemistry in 2007. My doctoral research was focused on the development of synthetic antibodies for the acoustic wave chemical sensors.
From 2008–2010, I served QAU as Assistant Professor of Organic/Polymer Chemistry. I was awarded two research grants during this period.
In 2010, I joined Prof. Torsi's research group at University of Bari, Italy and started working on the development of high temperature automotive exhaust gas sensors.
